FERRITE MNZN

Ferrite refers to a type of ceramic compound composed of iron oxide (Fe2O3 or Fe3O4) combined with one or more additional metallic elements. These compounds are known for their ferromagnetic properties, meaning they can be magnetizedsed or attracted by a magnet. Ferrites are commonly used in various applications due to their magnetic characteristics, electrical insulation properties and corrosion resistance.

Difference in production methods:

1. Sintered Ferrite Magnets (MnZn, NiZn, Strontium, Barium, Cobalt)

  • Mold Requirement: Yes, sintered ferrite magnets generally require a mold.

  • Manufacturing Process: The manufacturing process of sintered ferrite magnets involves pressing ferrite powder into the desired shape using a mold. After pressing, the green compact is sintered at high temperature to obtain the final magnetic properties.

2. Sintered Ferrite Magnets

  • Mold Requirement: Yes, sintered ferrite magnets require a mold.

  • Manufacturing Process: Sintered ferrite magnets are made by mixing ferrite powder with a polymer binder. The resulting mixture is then molded into the desired shape using a mold. The molded magnets are hardened to set the polymer, creating the final product.

3. Injection Molded Ferrite Magnets 

  • Mold Requirement: Yes, injection molded ferrite magnets use a mold.

  • Manufacturing Process: Similar to sintered ferrite magnets, injection molded ferrite magnets involve the injection molding process. The mixture of ferrite powder and polymer binder is injected into a mold under high pressure, forming the shape of the magnet. The molded magnets are then hardened to set the polymer.
